Andersen, an experienced Higher Education practitioner, has a background in student leadership development and has served in various capacities across the university.

Mental Wellness Fair

University of Utah Student Affairs

For over 20 years, the Center for Campus Wellness has hosted the Mental Wellness Fair to introduce students to mental health resources. This year, the Center for Campus Wellness and the University Counseling Center will host the fair in two parts to increase awareness and support students' moods with therapy dogs and massages. The fair includes mental health screenings, free chair massages, therapy dogs, and resource tabling.

Coffee & Conversation

Women's Resource Center presents Coffee & Conversation A critical discussion series.

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) at the University of Utah launched "Coffee and Conversation" in Fall 2022, creating a space for community members to engage in critical discussions while enjoying coffee, tea, and treats. The Fall 2022 series centers on reproductive justice. The events have been well attended and engaging, with plans to continue in the spring focusing on climate justice.

New director of Student Affairs Assessment & Analytics

Jake Lemon

Jake Lemon will continue as the director of Assessment & Analytics (A&A) for Student Affairs after serving as interim director for 10 months. His role involves leading the department, enhancing business decision-making capabilities through business intelligence applications, and tracking progress on the Student Affairs strategic plan. Lemon is also an adjunct professor in the Education, Leadership, and Policy program at the University of Utah.
