Mental Wellness Fair
For more than 20 years, the Center for Student Wellness has hosted the Mental Wellness Fair to introduce students to resources to support
their mental health on campus. This year, the Center for Student Wellness and the
University Counseling Center will be hosting the Mental Wellness Fair in two parts, each designed to increase
awareness of resources available for students and to support their current mood with
things like therapy dogs and massages.
"Both the University Counseling Center and the Center for Student Wellness are working to increase student awareness of the mental health challenges that some college students face, and at the same time reduce the stigma and barriers associated with that by highlighting the many resources that are available on our campus, says Sabeth Jackson, Associate Director for Prevention Education at the Center for Student Wellness. “The Mental Wellness Fair is an opportunity for students to learn more about the amazing resources available to support their mental health in one place and have a chance to connect with and ask questions of staff about each of them. It's also an opportunity to de-stress with either a free chair massage, petting a therapy dog, or taking a free fitness class."
