Student Affairs announces Fall 2026 Supervisor Series

This fall, Student Affairs is offering a virtual professional development series designed to help supervisors strengthen the student employee experience while building their own skills as supervisors. 

The Supervisor Series will focus on the University of Utah’s Durable Skills program, exploring how supervisors can help student employees recognize and develop transferable skills through their work experiences. Sessions will also provide opportunities for supervisors to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas and share best practices for supporting student employees. 

While the series is designed primarily for those who supervise student employees within Student Affairs, sessions are open to all supervisors across the division. 

Learning Outcomes & Pre-Evaluation | Friday, Sep 25 from 10-11 a.m. 
  • Gain awareness about the Durable Skills program at the U 
  • Learn to create personalized learning outcomes for student employees  
  • Reflect on different activities that support student learning

Tracking Student Learning Journeys | Friday, Oct 23 from 10-11 a.m. 
  • Learn to enhance student learning journeys through utilization of campus resources 
  • Learn to track student engagement on Campus Connect 
  • Share best practices in measuring student progress

Post-Evaluation & Supervisor Feedback | Friday, Nov 13 from 10-11 a.m. 
  • Learn to measure student learning outcomes  
  • Learn how to provide personalized feedback to student employees 
  • Learn how to co-create future improvement and enrichment goals
