Kristi Manwill is appointed as the new director of Living Learning Programs for Housing and Residential Education. She will develop specialized communities and co-curricular experiences, oversee program goals, and assess outcomes. Manwill brings over ten years of housing experience and a passion for supportive learning environments.
Shigeo Iwamiya leaves his role as director of Residential Education at the University of Utah to join USC. During his tenure, he enhanced HRE's data-driven approach and contributed to the Student Affairs Engagement and Belonging Task Force. Sean Grube will serve as interim director while a national search is conducted.
The Student Services Building (SSB) will be closed from Tuesday, June 4, to Tuesday, June 11, due to an HVAC construction project.
Chef James Jorgen from the University of Utah won the Continental regional title at the NACUFS 2024 Culinary Challenge in Tacoma, Washington. His winning dish featured pan-seared branzino and ratatouille-stuffed eggplant. Jorgen will compete at the national level in Louisville, Kentucky, in July. Congratulations, Chef Jorgen!
