Center for Student Access and Resources to host first-ever Parenting Student Conference
Parenting students face unique challenges on campus and can often struggle to build community and find a sense of belonging due to the responsibilities and time demands of parenthood. To help foster connection and support among parenting students, the Center for Student Access and Resources (CSAR) will host its first-ever Parenting Student Conference on June 20 in the Union Building.
The upcoming conference will offer workshops, sessions, and discussions centered around three themes: skills, support, and wellness. Attendees can expect sessions on personal finances, stress management, parenting support, mindfulness, yoga, and art. These offerings will give attendees the opportunity to build new skills, find support, and relax.
The conference is free to attend. Parenting students are welcome to bring their partner, even if their partner does not attend the U. Free lunch will be provided and the Student Parent Support Center will also offer free childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years old. Registration is open through June 6.
