Celebrating the end of year with Student Affairs 

It’s that time of the year where the University of Utah campus experiences a growing buzz with warmer days and a sense of accomplishment starting to settle in. Across the university, students are wrapping up a year defined by growth, challenge and connection, and Student Affairs is leaning into that momentum by creating meaningful opportunities for celebration. 

Throughout the division, over 20 offices are marking the end of the academic year, some with events that each carry their own tone and tradition. Yet they all share a common purpose: to recognize students, bring people together and create spaces where accomplishments—both big and small—are seen and valued. 

From cultural celebrations and recognition ceremonies to community gatherings and end-of-year sendoffs, these moments offer a chance to pause, connect and honor the experiences that have shaped the year. The entire U community is invited to attend the following events and join in on the celebration:  

Dream Center End of Year Celebration 

Date: April 17 | Time: 5-8 PM | Location: SJ Quinney School of Law 

The Dream Center brings students together to celebrate resilience, community and success, honoring the journeys and achievements of undocumented and DACAmented students.  

Financial Wellness Center Grad Party   

Date: April 21 | Time: 10-12 PM | Location: Student Services Building  

This event recognizes students from the Financial wellness Center who are graduating and moving on to their next exciting post-grad phase of life.  

NETE End of Year Celebration: Summer Send Off  

Date: April 21 | Time: 2-4 PM | Location: Epicenter  

This event hosted by the Center for Native Excellence and Tribal Engagement (NETE) aims to send its community and students into the summer with a fun celebration. Enjoy food, a live DJ, games and prizes while connecting with the community.  

Blanket Honoring Ceremony 

Date: April 23 | Time: 3-4 PM | Location: Alumni House 

The ceremony honors graduating students through a culturally significant tradition, creating space for reflection, recognition and celebration among peers, families and campus community members. 

Celebrating U Completely 

Date: April 23 | Time: 6-9 PM | Location: Union Ballroom 

This event recognizes students who have demonstrated holistic growth, highlighting achievements across academic, personal and community dimensions in a supportive and uplifting environment.
