Exciting changes to student employee engagement in Student Affairs!
The SELFIE (Student Employee, Leader, Fellow, and Intern Engagement) program has experienced
an exciting year of growth and momentum. Highlights include the successful Fall 2024
Student Employee Welcome event, the launch of a monthly Supervisor Series, the debut
of the SELFIE resource website, tailored newsletter content for student employees,
the implementation of standardized student employee job codes, and more!
As we look ahead to the upcoming academic year, here are a few key updates and developments to be aware of.
Reporting Changes
The SELFIE program has moved reporting lines, and will now report to Rachel Aho, assistant vice president for strategic initiatives and chief of staff.
“I’m deeply grateful for Dr. Hubain’s guidance, encouragement, and transformative support in establishing the SELFIE program and helping it grow over the past year. His mentorship laid a strong foundation,” said Asma Hassan, student employee engagement specialist. “As we enter a new chapter, I’m excited to collaborate with Dr. Aho to continue building on this important work.”
Student Employee Job Codes
As part of our strategic initiative to create proactive and personalized pathways - prioritizing data collection and utilization, our goal is to have all student employees in new job codes by Thursday, July 31. Please send the updated list of student employees and job codes to your HR rep by this deadline.
2025 Student Employee Welcome
Student Affairs is excited to host the 2025 Student Employee Welcome on Thursday, August 28 at 11:30am-1:00 p.m. at the Union Ballroom. Join us for food, games, networking opportunities, and even a photo booth! Plus, student employees will receive a welcome gift! This event is open to all student employees in Student Affairs.
