Join Student Affairs on Giving Day
The University of Utah's highly anticipated Giving Day is just around the corner! On April 2nd and 3rd, our university community will unite for 1,850 minutes of giving back. By taking part in Giving Day, Student Affairs raises funds that go directly toward resources, programs, and scholarships that support student success and well-being. Donations can be made through the Giving Day pages for various Student Affairs areas, including:
- Basic Needs Collective
- Bennion Center for Community Engagement
- Feed U Pantry
- LGBT Resource Center
- Veteran Support Center
- Women’s Resource Center
This year, we're enhancing our support for student health and wellness by centralizing Giving Day efforts through one dedicated page. This page will encompass several Student Affairs health and wellness departments, including Campus Recreation Services, Financial Wellness Center, Center for Disability and Access, Center for Campus Wellness, and the Counseling Center. Check out the Student Health and Wellness Giving Day Page here.
Sherra’ Watkins, associate vice President for Student Health and Wellness, will generously be matching all donations to the Student Health and Wellness page up to $500! Additionally, Lori McDonald, vice president for Student Affairs, is providing matching gift of $500 to Campus Recreation Services.
Get Involved:
Staff can get involved in Giving Day by donating to a cause they are passionate about, and/or becoming a champion! As a champion, you'll receive a unique link to share with friends, family, and on social media, directing them to the Giving Day page of your choice.
In the spirit of friendly competition, the Student Support Advancement team will be rewarding the top three champions who raise the most money for their chosen Student Support area with fun U swag prizes. Additionally, anyone who signs up as a champion for one of the Student Support areas will automatically be entered into a random drawing for a prize. Winners will be notified once the totals are finalized.
Staff Appreciation Event:
As a token of appreciation for your support during Giving Day, staff are invited to visit the Alumni House on April 2nd and 3rd between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for treats and conversation with colleuges. U pins will be gifted to those who donate.
