New Director of Living Learning Programs for Housing and Residential Education
Student Affairs welcomes Kristi Manwill as the new director of Living Learning Programs (LLP) for Housing and Residential Education.
In her new role, Manwill will collaborate with campus partners to develop specialized communities within our residence halls and create well-rounded co-curricular experiences for our students. She will be responsible for creating, implementing, and assessing a unified Living Learning process at the University. With a soon-to-be-hired associate director reporting to her, Manwill will also oversee program occupancy goals, the onboarding of new programs, and the assessment of LLP outcomes. Furthermore, she will serve on the senior leadership team within Housing and Residential Education.
Manwill brings over ten years of experience in housing at other universities. She has been with the Housing and Residential Education team for over three years, initially as a resident outreach coordinator, then as the associate director of conduct management and resident outreach. Her extensive experience and passion for creating supportive learning environments make her an excellent fit for this role.
“I’m incredibly excited to have Kristi in the Living Learning Program role in Housing and Residential Education. I’ve seen firsthand how Living Learning Communities can change the trajectory of a student’s experience, and Kristi’s experience in creating and growing structures that produce predictable outcomes will be a tremendous resource for the University,” said Sean Grube, associate vice president for Housing and Residential Education. “I couldn’t be happier to have her in this new role.”
Manwill earned her bachelor's degree in theatre and music. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, playing the piano, and attending musicals, plays, and movies. She also loves spending time with her fiancé, Derek, whom she met while earning a master's degree in Student Affairs, and her 12-year-old dog, Susie.
