New Director for Training, Programming and Outreach
The University Counseling Center (UCC) is pleased to introduce Angela Enno as the director for Training, Programming and
Outreach.
The director for Training, Programming and Outreach is an expanded leadership role within the University Counseling Center. In addition to overseeing the APA-accredited Psychology Predoctoral Internship program, Enno will provide guidance for the other UCC training programs in Counseling Psychology and Social Work. Furthermore, Enno will also lend support for the UCC’s programming and outreach initiatives. By consolidating these three areas, we emphasize the significance and interconnectedness of mental health campus programming and outreach — which supports Student Affairs’ commitment to enhancing student health and well-being.
"I couldn't be more excited to step into this new role. The training program at the counseling center has a well-established reputation for upholding a high standard of training with a strong social justice focus. I look forward to building on that strong foundation and continuing to innovate. Connecting training and outreach under the same umbrella opens so many opportunities to tie these programs even more closely together and find new ways to serve U of U students,” said Enno.
Enno brings extensive experience to her role, holding a Ph.D. in both Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Utah State University. With 12 years of experience working in the mental health field within university settings, including Utah State University, University of Oregon, and Northern Arizona University, Enno’s arrival at the U is highly anticipated.
“I am confident that Angela will make incredible contributions serving as the director for Training, Programming and Outreach,” says Scott McAward, executive director of the UCC. “Her years of experience working in the mental health field at other universities makes her an invaluable asset to the University Counseling Center.”
Enno, who identifies as Turtle Mountain Chippewa, has a wide range of personal interests. On her spare time, she enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi novels and watching movies, studying tarot, astrology, and various religious & spiritual traditions, doing crafts from beadwork to acrylic mixed media, and hiking with her dogs.
