With the support of the Huntsman Mental Health Initiative, the Center for Student Wellness is excited to offer (free of charge!) Mental Health First  Aid  (MHFA) training to the campus community. To date, CSW has trained over 250 students, faculty and staff.

This interactive course is an evidence-based curriculum that is designed to help you build the skills you need to support others who are experiencing a mental health challenge. MHFA also encourages participants to reflect on how we can better support our campus.

This 8-hour certification course teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. The training gives individuals the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be experiencing these concerns.

To be notified of upcoming training opportunities, email BBadger@sa.utah.edu to be added to the Interest List.
