Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental health first aid training timesWith the support of the Huntsman Mental Health gift, the Center for Student Wellness (CSW) is excited to offer (free of charge!) Mental Health First  Aid  (MHFA) training to the campus community. To date, CSW has trained over 250 students, faculty and staff.

This interactive course is an evidence-based curriculum that is designed to help you build the skills you need to support others who are experiencing a mental health challenge. MHFA also encourages participants to reflect on how we can better support our campus.

This course will be provided virtually at this time and participants must commit to a total of ~8 hrs of training by completing the following:

  • 2-hour self-paced online module (completed prior to virtual instruction)
  • 6-hour virtual instruction via Zoom (broken up into 2x3.5 hour segments)
