2021-2022 Dining Accomplishments

University of Utah Dining has become a top-tier dining program in the Higher Education Dining Industry. During the 2021-2022 academic year, U of U Dining had several highlights demonstrating the program’s excellence, including:

  • Chartwells – Best Dining Operation – West Division
  • Food Management Magazine – National Best Residential Dining Concept, The Game
  • NACUFS Regional Culinary Champion & Silver Medal Winner – Leslie Nichols
  • NACUFS National Culinary 3rd Place & Bronze Medal Winner
  • Pioneering Innovation – QR Code Ordering in an all-you-care-to-eat dining program, Tavlo System (soon to be an industry standard)

Other highlights:

  • Launched Starship robot delivery
  • Boost ordering with meal plan integration (Developed for U of U Dining – First in industry)
  • U of U Dining is the recognized training center for Chartwells – West Division
